ASUS unveils thin and light VivoBook Pro 14 laptop powered by powerful AMD Ryzen 5000H processors
ASUS has unveiled the ultra-thin and compact VivoBook Pro 14 in China, powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 5000H series mobile processors. The weight of the novelty is only 1.35 kg, and the thickness is 17.9 mm.
ASUS VivoBook Pro 14 is available in two variants: based on the eight-core Ryzen 7 5800H with a frequency range of 3.2 to 4.4 GHz, and based on the six-core Ryzen 5 5600H with a core frequency of 3.2 to 4.2 GHz. Both processors are based on the Zen 3 architecture and are built using a 7nm process technology.
For both versions of the laptop, the manufacturer offers 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB M.2 NVMe drive. In both cases, the portable system is equipped with a 14-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The peak display brightness is 600 cd / m 2, the level of dynamic contrast – 1 000 000: 1. The display claims 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space with support for 1 billion colors.
Additionally, it is worth noting the equipment of the laptop with a Harman Kardon sound system with an intelligent noise reduction system based on artificial intelligence algorithms. Other equipment of the VivoBook Pro 14 includes a webcam and a fingerprint scanner. The latter is located on the power button.
The Ryzen 5 5600H-based VivoBook Pro 14 with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is priced at 4,599 yuan (about $ 710). The older model on the Ryzen 7 5800H with the same amount of memory and solid-state drive received a price tag of 4999 yuan (about $ 772). Pre-orders for the new product in China have already begun. It is very likely that a little later, the laptop will be presented in other world markets.
