Atlus Pledges Persona News And Project Re Fantasy Details Next Year

Atlus and Studio Zero announced in an interview with Famitsu magazine that they will be revealing details of the upcoming Japanese RPG Project Re Fantasy from the creators of the Persona series in the coming year. In addition, some news is also expected on the Persona franchise.

Shortly after the release of Persona 5, series producer Katsura Hashino split from the main team to form a new one called Studio Zero. Later it became known that her project is a fantasy role-playing game Project Re Fantasy. And, other than a couple of meagre news and rumours, little has been known about the project since then.

This may change in 2021. Speaking with Famitsu, Hasino said that Project Re Fantasy development is “at its peak” and gameplay details may be released shortly. “As the world has seen a wave of change since the coronavirus emerged last year, all I can do now is keep working quietly,” he said.

In addition, there will also be some news on the Persona franchise in 2021. As the series’ producer and director Kazuhisa Wada recently told Famitsu, the game’s 25th anniversary will be marked with “exciting” details.

“We are quietly working on our projects,” Wada said. – Thanks to your support for the Persona series, this year turns 25! We have some interesting ideas in the works, so please wait for them! “

The latest game in the Persona series is the action-packed Persona 5 Strikers, which launches in the West on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on February 23rd.
