“Avengers” hit AMD: Intel confirms the launch of special processors with Marvel
What should you look out for when buying a new processor? Price? Performance? Or maybe it’s packaging after all? According to the official Intel Gaming Twitter channel, the company is preparing a special collector’s edition of the processors with Marvel. That is, the rumors that were heard earlier were confirmed.
Buyers of such chips can count on the bright box with a special poster, dedicated to “The Avengers” and created by American artist Tristan Eaton ( Tristan’s Eaton’s ). Intel told about its creation in a short video:
Officially, this is almost all the information available, but leaks report that the offerings in exclusive packaging will include new versions of Intel Comet Lake processors with overclocking capabilities. We are talking about chips like the Core I 9-109 00K, which in the Intel database will receive a special name Core i9-10900KA.
If this practice proves to be successful for Intel, it will undoubtedly set a precedent for future similar joint actions. It’s unclear if Intel is licensing the brand from Marvel, or if Marvel is paying Intel to co-promote in advance of the launch of the new Marvel’s Avengers game, which is slated for release on September 4 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Intel support has confirmed that the new processors will offer exclusive costumes as part of their gaming bundles. Perhaps buyers of such KA-branded processors will receive a free download code for Marvel’s Avengers and not just exclusive cosmetics for popular heroes.
Prices and time of the release of processors on the market have not been announced – most likely more detailed information will appear closer to September 4.
