According to Interfax with reference to the press service of AvtoVAZ, the domestic car plant has resumed production, which was suspended for the period of planned corporate vacations and May holidays.
“Production has been resumed according to the schedule,” the press service of AvtoVAZ said. The plant did not work for about a week and a half (from April 29 to May 9 inclusive)..
AvtoVAZ’s site in Togliatti currently produces four Lada models, including the Granta and Vesta NG, as well as the Niva Travel and Niva Legend SUVs.
AvtoVAZ resumed production
In the near future, AvtoVAZ plans to start assembling Chinese cars under the Lada brand at the former Nissan plant.

The car assembly complex of the plant continues to work almost according to the previous schedule. Lada Niva is manufactured in one 8-hour day shift. Lada Granta leaves its assembly line in two shifts of the same duration each. But the assembly of Lada Vesta NG has finally entered the two-shift mode. In addition, the plant does not exclude the organization of additional work on Saturdays. AvtoVAZ intends to use such days off for the production of cars throughout this year.
