About 600 cars will be produced

Welding and painting complexes of AvtoVAZ produced the first eight bodies for the pre-launch batch of Lada Largus, the assembly of which will begin this week.

In the near future, it is planned to release the last batch of passenger station wagons and cargo vans assembled in Togliatti, as reported by the Atypical AvtoVAZ public page on the VKontakte social network.

By the end of next week, AvtoVAZ plans to produce about 600 Lada Largus station wagons and cargo vans. And this may be the last batch of such vehicles manufactured at the Togliatti site.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ officially confirmed the decision to transfer the production of Lada Largus from the main plant in Tolyatti to the Lada Izhevsk site. The transfer project is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.

The delay will allow Russian suppliers to master an additional range of components in order to subsequently replace imported components with them and thereby increase the level of localization of the model.
