The resumption of production is scheduled for June 20
After the end of the corporate holiday, AvtoVAZ plans to continue producing cars on Saturdays, as reported by the insider public “Atypical AvtoVAZ” on the social network “VKontakte”.
It is assumed that the production of cars will be organized on all conveyors. Under these tasks, specialists of the plant’s purchasing service are now working. Nevertheless, the decision on additional shifts will be made based on the expected situation with the supply of components. Based on this, the number of working Saturdays and the duration of shifts will be determined. Workers will be paid double the wages.
AvtoVAZ will not relax: the plant will assemble Lada cars on Saturdays
AvtoVAZ introduced Saturday shifts at the car assembly complex in Tolyatti all last spring. In March and April, only Lada Niva for 8 hours and Lada Granta for 12 hours were produced on such days, and on the last two Saturdays of May, the Lada Vesta NG conveyor joined them, the workers of which went on a 12-hour shift.
AvtoVAZ suspended the production of cars and went on a planned corporate vacation from Monday, May 29. The downtime will last three weeks, until June 19. It is planned to resume the work of the conveyor from June 20 of this year.
“Atypical AvtoVAZ” in the past was the first to report the resumption of production of Lada Niva, incomplete Lada Granta and complete set of “Moskvich 3”.
