AvtoVAZ plans to start production of the updated Lada Vesta NG, powered by natural gas, in 2024. Lada Largus on this type of fuel will appear in 2025, as announced by Sergey Gromak, Vice President for External Relations and Interaction with Shareholders of AvtoVAZ.

In the future, given the positive dynamics of the market, we plan to launch two more gas-powered models in 2024 and 2025: on methane and on compressed natural gas. These are the new generation Lada Vesta in 2024 and Lada Largus in 2025. Moreover, Lada Largus will have a new layout: gas cylinders will be located under the bottom of the trunk, thereby not hiding the trunk space, and in a car like Largus, this is important for both summer residents and small businesses.

At the beginning of this year, AvtoVAZ launched the production of a dual-fuel version of the Lada Granta sedan equipped with methane gas equipment. This year, it is planned to produce about 3-3.5 thousand of these machines: “We are looking at the market very carefully, if there is demand, we will produce more.”

Serial production of gasoline Lada Vesta NG began in Togliatti on March 3. Sales should start before the end of May.
