The Awesome Games Done Quick 2023 speedrunner community event has concluded with $2.6 million raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
During the week of the event, from January 8 to 15, they managed to raise $2,642,493 for charity, which were sent to the Cancer Prevention Fund. The event took place entirely online, with attendees isolated from each other in separate rooms due to the state of COVID-19 in Florida.
At Awesome Games Done Quick 2023, speedruns of games in different categories were presented. Among them: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Yakuza Kiwami, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Cult of the Lamb, Half-Life: Alyx and many others.
The next major Games Done Quick event will be the Summer Games Done Quick starting May 28th and running until June 4th. The list of games and the schedule of the upcoming event have not yet been announced.
