97/100 from critics and 93/100 from players
According to Metacritic, Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3 role-playing game has set the all-time record as the highest rated game released this year across all platforms.
Even yesterday the game’s average score was 96/100, but today it has increased to 97/100, which allowed Baldur’s Gate 3 to outpace The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with an average score of 96/100.
Third place goes to Metroid Prime Remastered with a score of 94/100, while The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition is fourth with a score of 94/100. Resident Evil 4 got 93/100, Street Fighter 6 got 92/100.
But that’s not all – Baldur’s Gate 3 received the highest average score from users who rated it 93 out of 100, with an average score based on 2662 ratings. The same The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has an average user score of 85 out of 100.
Baldur’s Gate 3 also took 23rd place in the overall list of projects with the highest ratings from players. She was ahead of such hits as Resident Evil 2, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Last of Us.
Previously, the game managed to displace Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from the first place, leading both the top 10 paid games on Steam and the top 10, taking into account free projects .
