Under this deal, Limbic Entertainment will have to develop two new franchises for Bandai Namco Entertainment. The details of these projects, unfortunately, were not provided.

Bandai Namco Entertainment also acquired Reflector Entertainment in September 2020. The latter is currently working on the Unknown 9 franchise, covering products across multiple media. Less than a month earlier,  Unknown 9: Awakening, a third-person action-adventure game with a story focus, was announced.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has previously spoken openly about its strategy of producing more content from studios outside Japan’s domestic market. The Reflector Entertainment acquisition and stake in Limbic Entertainment are marketed as key steps towards this goal.
