Telegram traffic grew by 68%
The VimpelCom operator (known under the Beeline trademark) announced good news for fans of the Telegram messenger. According to the press service, the bandwidth of connections with Telegram has almost doubled – by 400 Gbps from the previous value of 500 Gbps.
As a result, the direct connection between the Beeline network and the messenger equipment is now 900 Gbps. The press release explained:
The increase in the bandwidth of the connections takes into account the changed preferences of users and will allow customers during the period of traditionally high consumption of Internet traffic, which occurs after the New Year holidays, to use the capabilities of the messenger efficiently and at maximum speed.
In the first two weeks of January 2023, according to Beeline statistics, Telegram traffic grew by 68% compared to the same period in 2022.
