Behavior Interactive will release Dead by Daylight on new consoles and improve the existing version of the game

Studio Behavior Interactive announced plans to release the multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The developers will not only release the game on next-generation consoles but also update the graphics on current devices.

All updates will be distributed free of charge as part of The Realm Beyond program, which is dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the game in June 2021. According to product manager Joris Four, the developers will add more environmental details to the horror, update character animations, lighting, and other elements. More information on the changes will appear on September 8.

In mid-August, the developers added crossplay to Dead by Daylight. Users of all platforms can now play with each other, but this feature can be turned off if desired.

Dead by Daylight was released in June 2016 on PC, but later the horror was transferred to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. The project received mixed reviews and scored just 71 points on Metacritic.
