Beware, dangerous Windows 10 update: freezes and serious crashes up to the “blue screen of death”

The problems are associated precisely with the fresh update numbered KB4592438, which became available for the October (October 2020 Update, 20H2) and May (May 2020 Update, 2004) versions of Windows 10 from December 8.

Since the beginning of the distribution of the update, complaints have appeared on the network about various troubles associated with it. Some users experience installation failure again, a complaint that has become common for Windows updates in recent months.

However, no fewer problems arise for those who have managed to install KB4592438 on a computer. Some users complain of dramatically increased CPU usage, latency, and freezes, including in games and on YouTube. Others have experienced more serious crashes, incompatibility with older games, sudden folder changes to read-only, and a blue screen of death.
