BioWare Speaks With Mass Effect Mod Developers To Prepare Them For Reissue Release

BioWare has contacted several Mass Effect mod developers to make their job easier. According to Mass Effect Legendary Edition director Mac Walters, the company aims to transition from original games to remasters as transparent and convenient as possible for the modding community.

“We’ve contacted several community members to find out how to communicate better changes that might affect existing mods. We also want to prepare them for successful work in the future. So far, the discussion is ongoing, and we will tell you more about this before the launch, “ – said Walters.

Recall that all three games in the re-release of Mass Effect will continue to run on Unreal Engine 3, so most mods are likely to remain available to users. However, this cannot be guaranteed yet.

Also, BioWare is gradually sharing details of the changes to the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. It is known that the authors will change the camera angles in dialogues and remove the multiplayer mode from ME3. Also, the developers do not plan to add the love lines that were originally cut out.
