Ziggurat Interactive will release improved versions of the action games BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 on PC on November 20, titled BloodRayne: Terminal Cut and BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut. Recall that earlier this year, the publishing house acquired the rights to the franchise.
All BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 owners on Steam and GOG will receive copies of the enhanced versions for free. BloodRayne: Terminal Cut and BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut will offer the following:
- support for high resolutions (up to 3840 × 2160 pixels);
- improved processing with 4x anti-aliasing;
- scaled cinematic videos;
- support for modern gamepads;
- improved engine-level lighting and completely redesigned lighting data;
- improved engine to support uncompressed original textures;
- improvements to various effects, including reflections, water, fog, and shadows;
- optimization for Windows 10.
“When we announced we were taking over the BloodRayne series, the reaction was overwhelming,” said Wade Rosen, President of Ziggurat Interactive. ” Fans have been asking what will happen next for the series, and now we’re excited to showcase the tremendous work Terminal Reality has done on the first two games. “
Recall that the BloodRayne dilogy is a third-person action game with horror elements in which you, as a dampirka (the daughter of a vampire and a human woman) Rain, fight against Nazis and supernatural beings. 2006 also saw the release of the first film Bloodrain, directed by Uwe Boll. In total, the series includes three films, the last of which premiered in 2010.
