BMW showed the final version of the electric sedan BMW i4

BMW has shown at its annual conference the first images of the final production version of the new BMW i4 Gran Coupe electric sedan and some details on its performance. The concept of novelty was demonstrated last spring.

The all-electric 4-door BMW i4 Gran Coupe will hit the market later this year, including a sports version. This means that to stay ahead of the competition, the company will release a new product three months ahead of schedule.

“The decision to launch three months earlier was simple,” said CEO Oliver Zipse, who described how BMW is “gaining momentum” in electrifying its portfolio.

The full specifications of the BMW i4 Gran Coupe will be announced in the coming weeks. So far, BMW has confirmed that the i4 will be available in three versions: eDrive35, eDrive40 (both with exclusive rear-wheel drive), and the flagship M50 model, available exclusively with xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive and customization with M Performance accessories.

The BMW i4 will have engines with a total output of about 530 hp. and the ability to reach speeds of up to 100 km / h in about 4 seconds.

It is also reported that the maximum power reserve on a single charge will be up to 590 km on the WLTP cycle. The BMW i4 battery supports fast charging.
