The OnePlus Nord smartphone was announced last week. It seems that this is just one of the smartphones of the new line since the confirmation of the existence of another model with the same name has already appeared on the web.
Brand new OnePlus Nord will get a different platform
The original OnePlus Nord launches in India and Europe, but the next model in this line may hit the North American market. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei directly hinted at this earlier.
The new OnePlus Nord will be built on the Snapdragon 690 SoC, announced in early summer, which may be the cheapest platform on the market with support for fifth-generation networks. This platform will allow Qualcomm to compete more effectively against MediaTek’s Dimensity 800/820 line of SoCs.
This information was discovered by members of the XDA-Developers forum in the OxygenOS 10.5 firmware for OnePlus Nord. The new smartphone is codenamed, Billie. It is also called isSM6350Products, with the SM6350 being the internal designation for Qualcomm Snapdragon 690.
