Happy Cosmonautics Day!

On April 12, 1961, the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made the world’s first orbital flight. The Vostok launch vehicle, launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome, launched the Vostok-1 spacecraft into orbit around the Earth, which circled our planet in 1 hour 48 minutes. In the Soviet Union, and now in Russia, this day is celebrated as Cosmonautics Day, and throughout the world – World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day.
