The team of the popular WhatsApp messenger is preparing to launch a new convenient feature. Soon, users will be able to pin messages in chats for a certain period.

The innovation was discovered by the thematic resource WABetaInfo in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android under the number 2.23.13.11. Users will be able to set timers for pinned messages in individual and group chats. The purpose of the feature is to let users decide how long a particular message should stay pinned.
WhatsApp offers three different time periods to choose from: 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. We may see more options in the future, including a custom timer duration.
This feature is especially useful for messages with information that is valid only for a certain period. For example, if you are planning a trip with friends and want everyone to respond by a certain date.
