Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombie Cinematic Opener
We have already written that Activision Blizzard, Treyarch, and Raven Software have presented the first trailers and screenshots of the co-op “Zombies” for the upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Now the developers have released an almost 4-minute cinematic trailer – previously only a small portion of it was shown.
In this video, a certain Sam from East Berlin calls the commander of the CIA’s international task force “Requiem” and Gregory Weaver. She handed over archival tapes from the KGB, which captured the events that took place immediately after the end of World War II in the underground Nazi bunker “End Station” in Poland. The cutscenes show that this Nazi bunker was discovered by the Red Army, and encountered a zombie there …
It was decided to seal the object, but during the Cold War, this nightmare reawakened. The Soviet special group “Omega” is showing a keen interest in exploring and curbing the secrets hidden in the concrete dungeons of the facility. Weaver offers Sam to surrender to the CIA, promising protection, but she refuses and plans to continue working. What role Omega will play in the plot and whether it will be possible to play for its fighters is not entirely clear.
As the developers promise, in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in Zombie mode, for the first time in the history of the series, one squad will be able to include users of different systems and generations of gaming platforms. At the same time, the time spent in cooperative mode will be taken into account when accessing the stages of the battle pass.
In addition to conventional weapons, the squad will have grenade launchers, Sentinel turrets, bows with explosive arrows, and even helicopters at their disposal. Players will also be able to use the Jagger Phantom, Swift Cleaver, and other popular perks along with Field Mods, a special type of equipment that adds variety to team tactics.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S on November 13th.
