Call of Duty: Mobile and Honor of Kings Announce Staff Recruitment for Unreal Engine 5 AAA Cross-Platform Game

In a personal microblog, Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad spoke about a new game from TiMi Studios – the internal Tencent team that has already developed Honor of Kings, Call of Duty: Mobile and is preparing to release Pokemon Unite. It turns out that at the same time, the company is working on a cross-platform AAA project based on Unreal Engine 5.

Ahmad‘s statement reads: “Tencent-owned Timi Studios, which has developed games such as Honor of Kings, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Pokemon Unite, is hiring staff to create a cross-platform AAA game on Unreal Engine 5. The project includes an open world and will scale [in versions] for PCs, consoles and mobile devices ”.

In another post, Ahmad stated that the upcoming release would be created in various TiMi Studios offices around the world. It would not be surprising if, in the future, the company opens several divisions in several countries. The analyst also said that the game concept refers to Genshin Impact but in a genre closer to shooters.
