Call of Duty: Warzone is a significant project for Activision Blizzard, as it continues to retain users through its quality, updates, and shareware distribution model. Thus, the monthly indicator of active gamers among all the company’s games this year was three times higher than in the previous year.

In the financial quarterly report, Bobby Kotick also added that the total number of hours played was seven times more than in the same period last year. Additionally, the popularity of Call of Duty: Warzone has led to changes in the way Activision Blizzard is promoting its other games, such as the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

So, in August, millions of players got access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War announcement trailer inside Call of Duty: Warzone for fulfilling certain conditions. “This move to direct interaction with our players is more effective marketing than any paid media network,” added Kotik.

Already this December, Call of Duty: Warzone will integrate with the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on November 13th.
