According to the portal Wccftech, citing the source, Morimasa Sato said: “In this story, Ethan Winters will have such a huge surprise as you can imagine. What exactly it is about, you have to find out on your own” Apparently, the director hinted at some plot twist. Recall: the narrative in Resident Evil Village begins with Chris Redfield breaking into Ethan Winters’ house, shooting the protagonist’s wife, Mia, and kidnapping his daughter.

Morimasa Sato also explained why the project had implemented a first-person view: “Initially, the team expressed the opinion that a third-person perspective could bring a different feel to the fighting. But I believe that the first person view allows us to express more personal fear and despair of Ethan Winters’ story

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7, 2021, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Series S.
