CD Projekt hasn’t changed its mind to release Cyberpunk 2077 at the end of the year, but it’s not a guarantee yet

CD Projekt released its financial statements for the first half of 2020, which, among other things, confirmed plans to release the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 on time.

Cyberpunk 2077

Recall that initially Cyberpunk 2077 was planned to be released on April 16 of this year. Due to lack of time to polish the project, it was decided to postpone the premiere first to September 17, and then to November 19.

To date, a little more than two and a half months are left before the coveted date, while the mentioned schedule shifts were announced almost exactly three months in advance. CD Projekt confirmed its intentions in the financial report.

“The release of Cyberpunk 2077 and the final stage of the accompanying advertising campaign are scheduled for the fourth quarter of the year (from October to December – approx.)”, – assured in CD Projekt.

However, as practice shows, such rhetoric is not yet a guarantee of the release of Cyberpunk 2077 on time: on the eve of the transfer of the game to November, the president of CD Projekt Adam Kicinski also spoke of the studio’s unshakable goals.

It was previously reported that Cyberpunk 2077 has already been completed in terms of content and gameplay, however, the developers continue the process of polishing, balancing, catching bugs, and improving the melee system.

Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released in November on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and GeForce Now. Full versions for next-gen consoles have also been confirmed, but they won’t be out until 2021.
