CD Projekt RED told how much it spent on the development of Cyberpunk 2077 and other games in the first half of 2020

CD Projekt RED published a corporate report, in which it shared interesting information. The studio indicated how much money was spent on game development in the first half of 2020: over $ 121 million. Naturally, most of this money went to the production of Cyberpunk 2077.

The report indicated that the cost of creating projects increased by 77%. Most likely, the main reason lies in the two transfers of Cyberpunk 2077. The Polish studio wanted to fix the existing problems of the game, so it shifted the release dates. Now CDPR intends to release the draft on November 19. The company confirmed its plans in a recent financial report.

CD Projekt RED also revealed which aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 development required the most funds: the list includes engine improvements, collaboration with top-notch actors, voice-overs for dialogue, and promotional materials.

In addition to the upcoming action role-playing movie, the Polish studio is working on other projects. For example, the multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077 and the new single-player game, which was mentioned in March 2020 by the president of CD Projekt RED Adam Kicinski (Adam Kicinski). Perhaps CDPR has begun to shift its efforts to other projects since their upcoming work is almost ready.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19, 2020, on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and GeForce Now. The game will also appear on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.
