CDPR Releases 1.12 Patch for Cyberpunk 2077, Fixing Serious Game Vulnerability

A few days ago, enthusiasts discovered a serious vulnerability in Cyberpunk 2077 that allowed hackers to access users’ personal computers through mods and save files. CD Projekt RED was aware of the problem described and promised to fix it. The studio kept its word: it released a small patch 1.12 for the PC version of the action RPG, which eliminated the mentioned defect.

Users can already download the patch in all Cyberpunk 2077 digital distribution services (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). The patch description says: “This update fixes a vulnerability that can be used as part of remote code execution (including saving files): a buffer overflow problem has been fixed, non-ASLR DLLs have been removed/replaced

As a reminder, CD Projekt RED previously released patch 1.11. She corrected a mistake with Takemura in the quest “Old Friends,” where the character called V and remained silent. Apparently, CDPR is trying to respond to user complaints and make important corrections as soon as possible.
