Inventive Retail Group develops a new direction
According to Kommersant , Russian electronics importers, whose stable work was disrupted as a result of hostilities in Ukraine, are developing a new market – the supply of equipment.
For example, the store operator re:Store, which was previously a premium reseller of iPhones and Apple devices in Russia, now sells turning and milling machines.
According to Kommersant, Inventive Retail Group (IRG), which manages re:Store, has confirmed that it only imports MachIndex machines from “friendly countries.” At the end of March, the website machindex.ru appeared in Runet, registered to the legal entity Restor LLC, which offers machines for small business and industry for purchase.

Inventive Retail Group said: “Due to the sanctions and the exit from the market of the main manufacturers of metalworking equipment, we saw a relevant business opportunity.”
The MachIndex sales manager confirmed that the equipment is available in Moscow.
These are primarily desktop machines used by hobbyists and small businesses. They are used in the DIY sector, for handicraft or small-scale production, in vocational education. In Russian stores, desktop lathes cost 60–500 thousand rubles, milling machines cost 50–250 thousand rubles; some entry-level models are presented on marketplaces.
At the same time, the company is officially looking for engineers with experience in working with German and Japanese systems.
