Xiaomi-sponsored Redmi is gearing up to launch its flagship series in 2021, the Redmi K40. Now the approximate date of the presentation of new products has become known.
The cheapest flagship with Snapdragon 888: Redmi K40 series debut date
Chinese sources have announced that the Redmi K40 series will be unveiled on January 20, 2021, immediately following the announcement of MediaTek’s new flagship platform.
As expected, the base model Redmi K40 is based on the MediaTek platform, and the older one, Redmi K40 Pro – Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The Redmi K40 Pro model should be the most affordable and cheapest smartphone based on this flagship SoC.
Note that the first Xiaomi smartphone based on Snapdragon 888 was Xiaomi Mi 11. Today, the Chinese manufacturer’s management celebrated the first important victory of Xiaomi Mi 11 – more than half a million smartphones were sold.
