Official premiere coming soon
The Russian Chery Arrizo 8 sedan, which is being touted as an alternative to the Toyota Camry, will soon have a version with a hybrid powertrain. It’s called the Amulet A8 PHEV (or Fengyun A8 PHEV), and Chery has already released a couple of official images of the sedan.
Externally, the car is no different from the regular petrol version, the same can be said about the interior.

The dimensions of the Amulet A8 PHEV are 4780 x 1843 x 1469 mm with a wheelbase length of 2790 mm. A special feature of the car is the latest Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM power plant, which includes a 1.5-liter turbo engine with direct injection producing 156 hp. and an electric motor with a power of 204 hp. In total, 360 hp is decent for a model of this size.
Chery Amulet A8 PHEV will accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. On pure electricity, the car can travel 107 km, and the maximum range is 1,400 km with an average consumption of 4.2 l/100 km.
The official premiere of Chery Amulet A8 PHEV will take place in November, the expected price range is from 17.7 to 22 thousand dollars.
