The Cd coefficient of 0.168 is far from the lowest

Chery recently unveiled “the most aerodynamic car in the world ,” as it calls its electric concept Chery Aero, which has a drag coefficient of 0.168.

The manufacturer stated that it has implemented more than 2,000 different optimization options to achieve ideal aerodynamic lines. During wind tunnel testing in August this year, Chery recorded a Cd value of 0.168, which it claims is the best achievement in the auto industry.

The Aero prototype was developed using artificial intelligence simulation and Chery claims it is the most aerodynamically optimized car in the world. But this turned out to be a lie, as motor1 writes.

The Volkswagen ARVW concept achieved a Cd of 0.15 back in the 1970s, and the 1985 Ford Probe V concept had a drag coefficient of Cd of 0.137, while the 1954 Fiat Turbina had a drag coefficient of Cd of 0.14.

Lightyear 0, a much more modern car, received a drag coefficient. All these figures easily surpass the new Chery concept. 0.175. However, this startup did not last long, and only two cars were assembled.
