Christie pokes at DeSantis – Improving our country doesn’t come from perpetuating rumors.

On Wednesday, Chris Christie criticized fellow GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis for suggesting that the FBI or Justice Department could interfere with his campaign. During an interview on CNN, the former New Jersey governor questioned the basis for DeSantis’ claim and emphasized the importance of not spreading rumors.

Christie urged DeSantis, the Governor of Florida, to be transparent if he truly believes there has been federal interference in his campaign or if he has reasons to suspect such interference. If there are concerns about investigations or potential actions against him or his inner circle by the FBI or DOJ, Christie stated that DeSantis should address them openly as he seeks the presidency.

During the interview, Christie also expressed doubts about DeSantis’ willingness to uphold the law, particularly when it comes to former President Donald Trump, who may face another indictment related to his alleged role in attempting to undermine the 2020 election. Christie questioned whether he could trust a President DeSantis to enforce the rule of law, given DeSantis’ recent comments expressing hope that Trump would not face additional charges.

Christie emphasized that no one is above the law and suggested that focusing on Trump’s conduct is more detrimental to the country rather than spreading speculations about federal interference in political campaigns.
