The Barcelona branch of Hexworks opened its doors in early March this year, and the Bucharest branch “a few weeks later”. The studio currently employs 25 people, including “veterans” of the gaming industry.

According to the head of CI Games Marek Tyminski, Hexworks has been working on Lords of the Fallen 2 for the past six months, during which it has “made significant progress”.

They promise to make the sequel darker and the combat system more hardcore. And on that, and on another change, they say in CI Games, the developers went in connection with criticism of the original Lords of the Fallen.

“As a gamer, I know when developers are enthusiastic about their business. This is the essence of our studio: to create games that we love to play ourselves, ”said Saul Gascon, executive producer of Hexworks.

The studio’s creative director, Cezar Virtosu, added that the Hexworks team “aims to bring [gamers] a creatively charged gameplay experience within an established genre. “

Lords of the Fallen 2 is being created for the next generation of PCs and consoles. The sequel was announced in December 2014, and since then the game has managed to change two developers: German Deck13 ( June 2015 ) and American Defiant Studios ( May 2019 ).
