Citroen presented the Mi Ami Cargo electric car, which belongs to the category of light commercial vehicles (LCV). It is aimed at small businesses who regularly need to transport products or deliver orders.

A zero-carbon vehicle has a driver’s seat, but no passenger seat. Due to this, the driver receives a space of 400 liters, which can be used to transport 140 kg of cargo. The cabin has a vertical partition that separates the driver from the cargo he is carrying. Due to its compactness (body length less than 2.5 m), higher maneuverability is achieved compared to standard electric cars.

The developers of Mi Ami Cargo tried to make the car as simple and economical as possible. The design provides for two doors that open in different directions. Manually opening top sections of the side windows, mechanical mirrors and the absence of an infotainment system all make the car as simple as possible. It is worth noting that the role of the infotainment system can be played by a user smartphone connected to a docking station located next to the digital dashboard.

The car is equipped with an electric motor powered by a 5.5 kWh battery. One battery charge is enough to cover 75 km. Mi Ami Cargo can reach speeds of up to 45 km / h, and it takes only three hours to replenish the battery from a regular household network.

Citroen believes that Mi Ami Cargo will be in demand in various delivery services and among small businesses who regularly have to transport small loads. The compact electric car will hit the markets of the countries of the European region later this year. It can be purchased for € 6,490.
