Cougar introduced the VTE X2 ARGB mid-range PSU series. The series includes 550W, 650W, and 750W models.

All of these models are built on a single 12V rail and are equipped with fixed cable systems. For cooling, 120mm addressable RGB fans are used, which also adorns the Cougar logo on one of the sidewalls. The power supply has its own ARGB controller, which can be controlled by a button located next to the network cable connector. In addition, synchronization with other components is provided using the 3-pin ARGB connector.
The power supplies are 80 Plus Bronze certified. The description mentions the use of Japanese capacitors and the presence of protection against under-voltage and overvoltage of input voltage, short circuit, overcurrent, and total power.
Each model has one 8-pin (4 + 4) EPS connector. The 550 and 650 W models have two 8-pin (6 + 2) PCIe power connectors, while the 750 W model has four. The 550W model has five SATA power connectors, the other two have eight each.
