The new processor is expectedly faster than the Intel Core i9-10900K

The first result of the Intel Core i9-11900K (Rocket Lake-S) processor has appeared on the network. This eight-core processor is based on the Cypress Cove microarchitecture, which is expected to deliver double-digit IPC gains over Skylake processors. The CPU-Z score in question confirms these expectations.

According to the leak, the Core i9-11900K scores 695.4 points in the single-threaded CPU-Z test, which is 19% more than the Core i9-10900K shows in the same test. The yet-to-be-released processor is 13% faster at 6522 points versus 5765 in a multi-threaded test despite fewer cores.

Comparing the Intel Core i9-11900K results to the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, the fastest Vermeer series processor (Zen3), the Intel processor performs nearly 3% faster a single-threaded test. In multi-threaded testing, AMD’s flagship 16-core processor is 90% faster.

The 11th Gen Intel Core is expected to be announced at CES 2021, and these processors may be available in March or April.
