Following Toyama, his old colleagues, Kazunobu Sato and Junya Okura decided to leave Sony Interactive Entertainment. The first became the operating director of the new studio, and the second became the technical one.

Bokeh Game Studio aims to take on “a lot of challenges in the future regardless of the platform” The company has confirmed that it plans to develop games for PC and consoles.

As Toyama admitted in an interview with Famitsu, production of the debut project Bokeh Game Studio – a multi-platform action-adventure game – has already started and is expected to last from two to three years.

As for the franchises left in Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio, Bokeh Game Studio will not be able to do them without Sony’s consent, but Toyama does not exclude the possibility of a joint project.

Until recently, rumors linked Toyama to a horror film allegedly being developed within the walls of Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio. It was assumed that the studio is preparing a “soft” restart of Silent Hill.

According to unconfirmed information, the presentation of the new Silent Hill has been postponed more than once and is currently expected to be announced before the end of the month. Recall that the Game Awards 2020 ceremony will take place early in the morning on December 11.
