Crossplay temporarily disabled on PC in CoD: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone – players complain about a bug with new content

Activision Blizzard and Studio Treyarch have temporarily disabled crossplay on PC in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone due to a massive bug called Zed 398 Swift Clover that players face after the release of the first season.

Today, the shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has received a content update, and a separate patch has been released for Call of Duty: Warzone, which combines the battle royale with the latest part of Call of Duty. But it appears that the new content is causing an unforeseen problem for players trying to try it out in multiplayer matches.

PC players are reporting a so-called Zed 398 Swift Clover bug that prevents them from joining new content in multiplayer matches. At the time of the publication of the news, a fix for this bug had not yet been released, but the Treyarch studio said that it was actively studying it together with Beenox (the developer of the PC version of Call of Duty). However, crossplay between PCs and consoles has been disabled until the problem is resolved.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone are available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
