Crusader Kings III will add the ability to become a poet and torture prisoners with his writings

The Crusader Kings III development team on the official website of the series told about the familiar feature from the second part, which will appear in the project with the release of the free update 1.3.

It’s about the ability of a character to be a poet. This trait was present in the previous part, but it was modified in the trickle. New characteristics and interactions await users, as well as randomly generated poems.

Each verse in Crusader Kings III has its own theme (romance, legacy, grief, enmity, worthlessness) and the object from which the system creates (so far only) a couplet or quatrain with a title.

You can read your works for hours to prisoners in dungeons: “As with any other form of torture, this one can cause an appalling amount of stress [for the recipient]

Besides, poems can be sent to characters for diplomatic purposes. If the addressee likes the hero’s creation, he will receive a gameplay bonus (piety, prestige, and so on). Otherwise, the player is in danger of being ridiculed.

In addition to this, the developers have published an incomplete list of changes and fixes, which, along with poetry, will appear in update 1.3 in winter. The list can be found at the link in the first paragraph.

Crusader Kings III is available exclusively on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). Patch 1.3 is expected to premiere at the same time as the first paid add-on. They will talk about the DLC at the Paradox Insider show, held on March 13.
