Cyberpunk 2077 Developers Add 4K and Ray Tracing Configurations to System Requirements

As promised, closer to the release of its hotly anticipated action RPG Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED has released an expanded version of the game’s system requirements.

Recall that in September the developers presented the minimum and recommended requirements, which, as it turned out later, correspond to low and high graphics settings in 1080p resolution.

The already announced configurations almost did not undergo changes: the mention of SSD appeared in the minimum requirements, and GeForce GTX 1660 Super was added to the recommended video cards and the Radeon R9 Fury was replaced by the Radeon RX 590.

New configurations for playing without ray tracing look like this: 

1440p (maximum settings)

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
  • processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G;
  • RAM: 12 GB;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (6 GB);
  • disk space: 70 GB (SSD).

2160p (maximum settings)

  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
  • processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super (8 GB), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (8 GB);
  • disk space: 70 GB (SSD).To run Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing enabled, you need the next level of PC:

    1080p (Medium Ray Tracing)

    • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
    • processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G;
    • RAM: 16 GB;
    • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB);
    • disk space: 70 GB (SSD).

    1440p (maximum ray tracing settings)

    • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
    • processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
    • RAM: 16 GB;
    • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB);
    • disk space: 70 GB (SSD).

    2160p (maximum ray tracing settings)

    • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit);
    • processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
    • RAM: 16 GB;
    • video card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (10 GB);
    • disk space: 70 GB (SSD).

    Recall that as part of yesterday’s release of Night City Wire, the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 showed a five-minute trailer for the gameplay and videos dedicated to Johnny Silverhand.

    Cyberpunk 2077 is expected to be released on December 10 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and on GeForce Now and Google Stadia. Full PS5 versions with Xbox Series X and S will not go on sale until 2021.
