1080p and stable 60fps

A few days ago, Google launched a beta test of the Google Stadia cloud gaming service for Apple mobile devices. As a result, it became possible to play the “full” Cyberpunk 2077 on the iPhone and iPad.

As it turned out, Cyberpunk 2077, which caused a huge scandal on the network, “goes” on the iPhone and iPad using Google Stadia much better than on the previous generation game consoles – PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. At least that’s what the Google Stadia test results for iPhone and iPad users say.

Given Apple’s limitations for gaming applications, the cloud service is available through the Stadia mobile browser at stadia.google.com, rather than through the dedicated Stadia app.

And this “browser” Cyberpunk 2077 has shown itself just fine. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 720p plays 720p on older consoles, and iPhone and iPad users can enjoy 1080p with a good internet connection.

What’s more, Cyberpunk 2077’s frame rates regularly drop below 20fps on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, making it nearly impossible to play. In PWA format (Progressive Web App) via Stadia, the game outputs stable 60 fps on iOS devices. Also, there are no glitches with textures, which became a real “scourge” on consoles of the previous generation.

Android devices have an added advantage over iOS – Stadia allows Cyberpunk 2077 to run in 4K on compatible devices, but Apple has not yet provided 4K support for iOS.

Recall that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 turned out to be very loud, very problematic, and memorable for both companies associated with the release and users. On the one hand, Cyberpunk 2077 has already been declared the best-selling game in Russia over the past 20 years. On the other hand, gamers complain about numerous crashes. Moreover, the problems reached such a level that Microsoft and Sony were forced to announce a refund for game buyers.
