Cyberpunk 2077 is now playable on iPhone: Google Stadia cloud gaming service now available on iOS

A few weeks after the announcement, the Google Stadia gaming cloud service became available for owners of iPhone smartphones and iPad tablets based on the iOS and iPadOS operating systems. Due to the strict rules of the App Store, the company decided not to develop a separate app for games. Instead, the service is available through the Safari browser, writes TechCrunch.

To use the service, the owner of an iOS device will need to update the operating system to the latest version 14.3. IOS users can access the service through stadia.google.com.

The peculiarity of Google Stadia is that each game must be purchased separately. However, there is also a Stadia Pro subscription: for $ 9.99 per month, the platform will provide access to its entire collection of games, as well as access to stream games in 4K resolution. It is noted that most games require a gamepad, for example from Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which are supported by iOS via Bluetooth. However, touch control from a smartphone or tablet screen in games is also supported. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Cyberpunk 2077 are some of the latest innovations in Google Stadia.

Google’s cloud gaming service was launched in November 2019. However, for a year, it could not work on iOS devices due to the strict rules of the App Store. To add an app to the Apple Store, each game in the Stadia Libraries must be approved and have its own App Store page and download directly from the store. Launching the web version of the service through Safari allowed us to bypass this rule.
