Cyberpunk 2077 Lead Quest Designer: Audience Doesn’t Fully Understand How Difficult Game Development Was
Recently, Pawel Sasko, the lead designer of Cyberpunk 2077 missions, gave a stream in which he spoke about the complexities of developing the latest project, CD Projekt RED. He believes that the audience does not fully understand what production difficulties the studio faced. At the same time, the designer called the requirement to get a complete and functional game quite fair.
Pavel Sasko’s statement reads: “We took on [the project] on new intellectual property, we tried to learn as much as we could, and our goals were incredibly ambitious. It seems to me … that the players and journalists do not fully understand how difficult it was to develop Cyberpunk 2077 “.
“I’m not saying that you guys should give us a better chance at this, ” continued Pavel Sasko, “ because you can demand a fully functional, well-made game, that’s your right. What I’m talking about is more about understanding that it was a tough game to develop, very ambitious, and we tried to achieve as much as possible in all directions. I think we have done a lot, and there is still a lot to improve. “
Recall: Cyberpunk 2077 was criticized mainly for the technical condition of the console versions and the abundance of bugs. The game was even removed from the PlayStation Store, where it has not yet returned.
