Bloober Team has announced the postponement of the horror movie The Medium from the previously scheduled December 10 to January 28, 2021.
A post from the Bloober Team says:
“After much deliberation, we made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Medium until January 28, 2021. It was not an easy choice, but it was made due to the COVID-19 situation in Poland, as well as the current schedule of other games on the market. The Bloober Team continues to strive to provide you with the largest, most ambitious, and awe-inspiring experience to date.
Additional development time will allow us to make adjustments to the game, which guarantees the implementation of our innovative and genre-evolving vision of interactive psychological horror. Rest assured that this delay will not prevent us from sharing the news with you, and you can expect that soon we will unveil several more layers of the great mystery of The Medium . “
While the Bloober Team did not name specific games, it is likely that the move of Cyberpunk 2077 to December 10 influenced the studio’s decision. Recently, for the same reason, Rockfish Games postponed the launch of Everspace 2 in Early Access – the developers bluntly said they did this to avoid a collision with the CD Projekt RED game.
The Medium will be released on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
