Cyberpunk 2077’s massive February update will be delayed until the second half of March

On the official website of its action RPG Cyberpunk 2077, Studio CD Projekt RED announced the forced postponement of the previously promised large-scale update, which was to be released in February.

Recall that this patch should be the next step towards fixing Cyberpunk 2077, including the previous generation consoles, where the release version of the project worked and looked very bad.

As it turned out, the developers will not fit in on time – the premiere of the update is now scheduled for the second half of March. There are two reasons: the recent cyberattack on the studio’s IT infrastructure and the upcoming patch scale.

“Our goals for patch 1.2 go beyond all previous updates. We are working on numerous quality improvements and fixes, and it is not yet completed, ”explained CD Projekt RED.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released in December 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. It is backward compatible on PS5, Xbox Series X, and S. The full release of the game on the next generation consoles is expected in the second half of this year.
