Cyberpunk adventure Beyond a Steel Sky hits consoles in the second half of the year
Microids, on its official website, announced the signing of a contract with the studio Revolution Software, under which it will release the cyberpunk adventure Beyond a Steel Sky on consoles.
As it became known, Beyond a Steel Sky will go on sale for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in the third quarter (that is, from July to September) of this year.
At the same time, the matter will not be limited to just one release in digital format. Microids promises to launch boxed editions of Beyond a Steel Sky for the listed consoles.
According to Stephane Longeard, CEO of Microids, the company is “excited to give players the opportunity to (rediscover) the long-awaited sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky on consoles. “
The creators of Beneath a Steel Sky – game designer Charles Cecil and artist Dave Gibbons – also commented on the announcement: both were pleased to work with Microids.
Recall that Beyond a Steel Sky tells the story of Robert Foster (the hero of Beneath a Steel Sky), who, in an attempt to find a kidnapped child, finds himself in Union City – “one of the last strongholds of civilization in a world torn apart by war. “
Beyond a Steel, Sky debuted on iOS (Apple Arcade) in June 2020 and made it to PC (Steam) a month later. The average rating of the PC version on the Metacritic aggregator site is 70% out of 100.
