The President of the Russian Federation instructed to launch the Il-114-300 program back in 2016
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will not be able to deliver three Il-114-300 regional aircraft to the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) on time. The contract, signed more than three years ago, provided for delivery by October 31, 2023. This is reported by the insider channel “yo-Prom | Import substitution in industry.
The UAC said that the development of the Il-114-300 was affected by the crash of the Il-112V military transport aircraft, since both aircraft are equipped with TV7-117ST engines. At the same time, the United Engine Corporation (UEC) does not agree that the motors became the reason for the delay. The company said that the timing of the manufacture and supply of power plants is fully consistent with the approved schedule. And they are not responsible for the resumption of flight tests of the Il-114-300.
Deliveries of the first IL-114-300 will not be on time.
“As for the TV7-117ST-01 engines, since October 2022 the aircraft has been provided with engines in a standard design, in December 2022 a type certificate was received for the engine,” the UEC added.
UAC has not yet announced when flight tests of the Il-114-300 will be resumed. It is known that two experimental Il-114-300 aircraft have already been manufactured, and the plant continues to assemble the first serial aircraft.
It remains to be stated that in seven years, aircraft manufacturers have not yet coped with the task of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who back in 2016 ordered the launch of the Il-114-300 program. And this despite the fact that the IL-114, on the basis of which a new modification is being created, completed its first flight already in 1990.
The Il-114-300 aircraft, which can accommodate up to 68 passengers, should replace the obsolete An-24s on domestic routes, as well as foreign-made aircraft of a similar class.
Earlier, the same source was the first to report that the Russian Moskvich will appear only in 5-7 years, but for now the plant will be engaged in the localization of Chinese cars. Later, the information was fully confirmed in the press service of Moskvich. The channel also revealed details about the new Russian Docker passenger aircraft, which should replace the Czech L-410s, and said that the Russian-Chinese CR929 aircraft will turn into a purely Chinese model.
