Dell unveils Latitude 7320 convertible tablet – Surface Pro X clone based on Tiger Lake

Dell has unveiled its new Latitude 13 7320 Detachable tablets ahead of CES 2021, which resembles the Microsoft Surface Pro X with an 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake vPro processor, 3: 2 FHD + display with brightness 500 nits, 4G LTE connectivity, and more.

Last year, Dell introduced the Latitude 12 7210 and Latitude 13 7310 laptops powered by Intel Comet Lake-U processors. The company now offers the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable with updated internals, a brighter display and enhanced Dell Optimizer features that improve battery life and responsiveness through AI.

Externally, the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable looks very similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro X. This also applies to the aspect ratio of the display, and the stand, and the holder of the Active Pen, which is built into the additional removable keyboard. However, this is where the similarities end.

The Latitude 13 7320 Detachable offers processor options up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro. RAM LPDDR4X-4266 up to 16 GB is supplied unsoldered, so buyers should choose the configuration wisely – there will be no possibility to expand the volume later.

The display is a 13-inch 3: 2 FHD + touch panel with 500 nits brightness and ultra-low power mode. Corning Gorilla Glass DX Touch provides protection against physical impact. Dell offers a variety of SSD options ranging from 128GB to 1TB, all of which are M.2 2230 drive options. Customers can also opt for NVMe with 256GB Self-Encrypting Drive (SED).

The Latitude 13 7320 Detachable features a 5MP FHD webcam that can record 1080p video at 30fps. There are options with a Windows Hello compatible IR camera. Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 provides Wi-Fi 6 2 × 2 and Bluetooth 5.1 connections. No 5G support, but there are Latitude 13 7320 Detachable configurations with Snapdragon X20 LTE modem for 4G connectivity.

Since the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable is primarily a tablet, Dell only offers two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support. The device is powered by a 2-cell 40Whr battery. Dell Latitude 13 7320 Detachable will hit the market on March 30th starting at $ 999.
