Within SIE Worldwide Studios, Moore has been an integral part of SIE Japan Studio for the past 18 years – the same studio reorganized around Astro’s Playroom development team today, April 1.

“Yesterday, after 24 years at Sony, 18 of which I spent in Japan, it was my last day at Japan Studio. I will miss the creativity and comradeship in the studio, which has been a huge part of my life, ” Moore shared.

Moore did not reveal exactly what he would do after leaving Sony Interactive Entertainment but noted that it was “time for him to look for new and exciting opportunities

Moore joined the London branch of Sony Computer Entertainment in April 1997 and moved to Japan 6 years later. At SIE Japan Studio, the developer started as an animator, but in 2010 he was promoted to creative director.

As for SIE Japan Studio, from today, the studio has become known as Team Asobi – after the name of the team responsible for the creation of the already mentioned Astro’s Playroom.

Japan Studio’s external development department, which helped with the development of Bloodborne, the Demon’s Souls remake, and other games, will continue to exist as part of PlayStation Studios.
