Developers of the new Battletoads are working on a project for “beloved and recognized” intellectual property
At the site Dlala Studios, known for last year’s Battletoads, there were new jobs. They say that the company is now working on a “beloved and recognized” intellectual property.
The team currently needs a gameplay programmer familiar with the Unity engine, an assistant producer, a 2D visual effects artist, and a 2D environment artist. The last two vacancies hint that the upcoming Dlala Studios game will be 2D. Unfortunately, the developers did not provide more details. The list of candidates’ requirements does not even mention on which platforms the upcoming project will be released.
As a reminder, last year’s Battletoads is the only well-known game from Dlala Studios. It is a reimagining of the famous battle toad adventure series. The project was met with controversy by critics and audiences. On Metacritic (Xbox One version), he received 72 journalistic points after 66 reviews. Users put 6.5 points out of 10; 685 people voted.
