“Did the authors of The Witcher 3 do this?”: Users pointed to problems in the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay video from Xbox consoles

Recently, CD Projekt RED held a special issue of transfer of Night City Wire, a dedicated version of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox One X, and its execution on the Xbox Series X in backward compatibility mode. In the 10-minute demo, viewers could see the passage of tasks, exploring the streets of Knight City, and dialogues with several characters. However, individual users paid attention not only to the gameplay – but they also noticed problems in the shown video.

One of the main complaints from commentators concerns the frame rate: people got the impression that it regularly drops below 30 frames / s on the Xbox One X.

The second problem is graphical artifacts and bugs. For example, users noticed a headless person (at 6:20), whose hair is just hanging in the air. And the players noted the strange behavior of the characters: they can start running somewhere for no reason, and then turn sharply. Below are selected messages from disgruntled users.

MALDITO BRIEF: “It doesn’t look good at all, [the game is] full of bugs and other problems. Even if the creators continue to rework, this will not fix the situation

Rodrigo Costa: “I can’t believe the creators of The Witcher 3 did it. Perhaps when the game starts selling at 50% [discount] it will be worth buying. I can, of course, be wrong

Commenter Tairon: “The Xbox One X has a very low frame rate and there is a lot of neat gameplay in places where developers know the frame rate won’t drop too much

Despite the abundance of negative comments, most users greeted the fresh gameplay demo with enthusiasm. The video got 65 thousand likes and only 3.2 thousand “dislikes” marks.
